Little Firecracker

Yesterday was first Fourth of July. We all had a barbecue at our house with family and friends. Ethan wore his Baby's 1st 4th of July outfit that his Auntie Kerry bought him. He was happy to show of his spirit and catch some of the fireworks.

Grandma Dora's 90th Birthday Bash

Today went to Uncle John's mother's 90th birthday party. Ethan was a hit as always and loved being passed around. I can't believe how sociable a baby he is. He also was very good about taking his bottle and dancing around to the live music. We were able to get some really cute family photo ops.

Ethan's 2 Month Birthday

It is incredible how fast two months has gone by. Ethan is continuing to become more aware of his surrounds. He loves to smile and mimick your faces. He continues to try to grab at items and can hold them if placed in his hand.


Today at his two month doctor's appointment, they gave him his two month shots. He took is surprisingly well and only cried very briefly. He weighed 11 lbs exactly, was 22.75 inches and his head grew from 36 in (when he was born) to 40.5 inches. He must have his dad's big brain :)

Austen's First Father's Day!

Yesterday was Austen's first Father's Day! We started with breakfast and bed, which I made with Ethan's help. I traced Ethan's hands on Austen's card and included everything he is thankful for daddy. When he gets older, he can keep this tradition and trace his own hands and write what he is thankful for.

We went to Aunt Amy and Uncle John's for a cookout with burgers and Ethan loved the time he spent with Auntie Rebekah. She is so good with for only being 9 years old. Here they are playing with her Nintendo DS. My he is already starting with video games. He is making his dad proud.

First Blog Post!

Welcome to our blog! We are so excited to be able to share photos and news with our family and friends-especially the ones we don't get to see everyday. Ethan arrived on April 15th, 2008 at 7lbs 13.5 oz and 20 inches long. We wanted to take this space to record our time with him.
